We love the power of plants, and choose botanicals and resins that we slowly infuse, so that they truly become part of the product. This gives the balm its own character.
Without Essential Oils
We deliberately choose 'clean' and therefore do not use essential oils: no perfume layer or extra irritants. Just a balm that remains calm, even on sensitive skin.
Skin-safe formula
Our tallow is soft and free of synthetic additives and preservatives. This makes it suitable for sensitive skin, even during phases when your skin changes, such as during pregnancy.

Our Tallow is completely natural and organic, sourced from grass-fed Irish cattle. Tallow is purified beef fat. When derived from grass-fed cattle, it contains natural vitamins A, D, E and K, and fatty acids that closely resemble the fats in our own skin. As a result, it is well-recognized and absorbed by the skin.
Many people with sensitive or acne-prone skin find that their skin becomes calmer when they switch to simple, nourishing ingredients. Because every skin reacts differently, we always advise testing a small amount.
Tallow is very similar to the skin's natural sebum. As a result, it is well absorbed without leaving a heavy or occlusive feeling. Always use a small amount; a little goes a long way.
Essential oils are highly concentrated plant extracts. A single drop often contains the aromatic compounds of large quantities of plant material. Due to this high concentration, they can be too potent for some skin types and cause irritation or sensitivity.
Additionally, essential oils contain volatile aromatic components that can penetrate deep into the skin and disrupt the natural skin barrier.
In many skincare products, essential oils are primarily used to add fragrance. At Fenix, we consciously choose a different approach: we formulate for efficacy, not for perfume. That's why we work with slow-infused herbal and resin infusions, where the properties of plants are extracted in a milder way. This nourishes and supports the skin without unnecessary strain.
